Morning Tour: Discover Hanoi’s Treasures

8:00 – 8:30 AM: Your guide will pick you up from your hotel, and your Hanoi exploration begins!

8:45 AM: First stop, the stunning Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Hanoi, sitting peacefully on a tiny island in West Lake. Built in the 6th century, it’s a perfect spot to soak in some history and serenity.

9:30 AM: Next, head to the Ho Chi Minh Complex, where you’ll see the preserved body of Vietnam’s beloved leader, Ho Chi Minh. Stroll through the gardens and visit the two simple houses where he lived and worked from 1954 to 1969. Don’t miss the One Pillar Pagoda, a unique temple dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy. It’s one of the most iconic landmarks in Vietnam!

Pro Tip: Dress modestly (cover shoulders and knees) when visiting the mausoleum and pagodas. Also, note that the mausoleum is closed on Mondays, Fridays, and from June 15 to August 15 for maintenance, but you can still explore the surrounding area.

11:15 AM: Wrap up the morning at the Vietnam Ethnology Museum, where you’ll learn about the fascinating cultures of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups. It’s a colorful and eye-opening experience!

1:30 PM: Your guide will pick you up for an afternoon of discovery.

3:15 PM: Next, visit the Hoa Lo Prison Museum, a place with a dark but important history. Originally used by French colonists to hold political prisoners, it later became known as the “Hanoi Hilton” during the Vietnam War, where American POWs were held. It’s a sobering but fascinating look into Vietnam’s past.

4:15 – 4:30 PM: Your tour ends here, and you’ll head back to your hotel to relax and recharge for the evening.

What’s Included?

  • Comfortable transportation
  • An experienced English-speaking guide (with at least 5 years of experience)
